Sal Ranelli: Philadelphia Eagles Super Fan

Anatomy of a Bad Spot

Ahh, Dallas week. I figured I'd have a little fun and juxtapose images of the two angles on that McNabb sneak in the 4th quarter of the last Dallas games last November 8th. Naturally, it shows what Eagles fans already knew.... The spot was bad.

Proof McNabb made the 1st down and the refs spot was terrible

When I watched it in real time I thought for sure McNabb had the first down. When they gave that crazy spot I thought, well at least they'll get the spot correct after checking the replay.

Umm, nope.

It's tough to tell exactly due to the camera angle, but it certainly seems like McNabb had the first down. At worst, that spot was clearly off by a good 1/2 yard.

Not that it matters. I am a believer that you can never blame a loss on a single spot. You've got too many other chances throughout the game to make the plays you need to make to win.

It's never acceptable to lose to Dallas, but I think we all suspected there would be at least one more game this season that would be bigger.

Shawn Andrews Controversial Rehab Plan

Pretty much everything about Shawn Andrews' back/psychological ailments & treatments over the last couple seasons have been mysterious. Yesterday, Andy Reid revealed that Shawn would be resuming his rehab "elsewhere." Or, possibly Los Angeles....

Maybe the Eagles should have tried this before putting Shawn on the IR and ending his season. Or, if not E.T., perhaps Mr. Miaggi?

Rob McElhenney from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" Talks about the Genesis of Green Man

The new season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia debuts on FX tomorrow night, and more excited I could not be. If you've never seen the show, what the heck are you waiting for?? If you're a fan, you're familiar with Charlie's "Green Man" character. In this clip from an event at UCLA, Philadelphia native Rob McElhenny talks about about the inspiration for Green Man, which to the surprise to no one in Philly, is based on a crazy obsessed Eagles fan.
